We have one Full Time Veterinarian with over 40 years of experience.
At Shasta Lake Veterinary Clinic each patient visit begins with a thorough physical examination to detect both the current health issue and other health issues that are undetected at present.
We ask numerous questions regarding the patient in order to detect patterns of symptoms. Where necessary, we perform laboratory tests, take x-rays and/or perform other tests. We then analyze all of this information to arrive at a diagnosis and develop a targeted treatment plan for your pet.
We have an extensive network of Board Certified internal medicine specialists, radiologists, and surgeons to consult with or refer to if necessary.
Throughout this process ,we consult with clients to explain what is happening and why we are doing certain tests or procedures. We also strive to keep clients informed of costs so we can get their input as to what their budgetary concerns are.
Infrared Cold Laser
Our “hottest” new technology is a Class IV multi-wave infrared cold laser. We use it to treat both acute and chronic pain without the use of drugs. It is especially useful for treating chronic arthritis pain in patients who can no longer tolerate conventional drug therapy for pain management.
We also use it to treat patients with back, hip, and knee injuries as well as to speed healing of surgical procedures and traumatic wounds.
At the end of days, as sad as it is, as owners it is our humane duty to make the compassionate choices for our friend. We offer a wide range of services with price affordability in your time of need.
